Welcome to the Optus beef page. This section is where I get to have my beef about the issues that (I think) concern us all.

The company has made a page within their Intranet to allow for comments and suggestions, and have removed it previously because of so called misuse. Fine. but why do the staff not have a place to voice their grievances. The so called Staff Opinion Survey might make a change like casual dress, but are the powers that be really reading what we tell them?

Can someone explain why there are so many people leaving the company?

Can someone explain to me why they leave despite the high wages we are paid?

Please explain why no one applies for positions within Optus anymore in either Melbourne or Sydney. Has word finally got to the street that it isn’t a nice place to work for anymore?

Why has a company that used to be so focused on their staff decided that the most important thing is statistics, and they don’t care how they get them?

With the advent of their ‘Power of Customer Service’ campaign, why is it that the only change they have made is giving us some computers to look at the Internet on? Working conditions have not changed.

Do the really think some mindless propaganda about how great they think we are is really what we need?

So here is your page. On here, we can say what we like and while the CEO might not read it, at least we can realise that there are others out there that all feel the same way about what is happening to what used to be a great company.
